The Kid Premiership Concept and History
Targeting children between the ages of 2 and 11, Kid Premiership uses iconic characters (the Kid Premiership Gang) to stimulate and encourage the enjoyment of learning.
The concept utilizes:
• The interests of many children in sports
• The appeal of cartoon-based characters and high quality graphics
• The excitement of collecting achievement awards
• A wide range of media, from website to workbooks, posters to planners.
Kid Premiership relates to and engages with sport as a whole, not just a few individuals or teams. Although there are numerous existing characters associated with sports teams etc, their limitation is the fact that they relate to a single team or perhaps a single event only. Their function tends almost exclusively to be the promotion of a specific club or event.
The present squad of characters can be seen here on the website, complete with mini biographies. We have the capacity to develop new characters, to represent Kid Premiership in every possible situation: effectively to provide life stories for Kid Premiership characters. We can also supply educational material to comply with National Curriculum Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 across a wide of subjects, academic and cross curricular.
The Development of Kid Premiership
Kid Premiership has been developed by a group of enthusiasts who believe in the importance of education. We believe the potential of Kid Premiership to improve our children's education is enormous, and the scope of material and subjects, which Kid Premiership can help deliver, almost limitless. By taking small steps and testing and evaluating our progress at each stage we hope to avoid pitfalls. But for Kid Premiership to deliver its potential we are also aware of the economies of scale. We welcome feedback from all those engaged in the field to help make Kid Premiership a major educational resource.
