Make this mobile as either a decoration for your classroom or home, or you could even give it as a special Valentine gift.

Print the template opposite onto some thick paper or card..

You will need:
*String or coloured cotton
*crayons or felt tips
*scissors

Colour and decorate the template, then carefully cut each shape out, snipping along the dotted lines.

Don't forget to ask a grown up for help when using scissors.

Put the swirl to one side for now and concentrate on the hearts.

Colour the reverse sides of the cut out hearts and slot them together to create a 3-D effect.

Make a small hole at the top of the hearts with a thick needle and thread different lengths of thread through the holes.

Colour the reverse side of the swirl shape. Make some small holes in the swirl shape at intervals with the needle.

Thread the hearts through the holes so that they hang down from the swirl as shown.
