This pop up Valentine's Day card looks great when decorated by hand. Use glitter and sequins to make the heart sparkle, you could even decorate an envelope to make your valentine extra special.

Step 1.

Print out the template opposite onto thick paper or card.

Cut the heart print-out from the sheet by carefully following the solid, black lines around the edges.

Flip the pop-up piece over so the dotted lines are not visible and fold it in half along the centre line.

Don't forget to ask an adult for help when using scissors.

Step 2.

Take hold of the smaller heart and carefully fold it all the way over, creasing it flat as shown. Repeat with the small heart on the other side.

Colour or decorate the pop up piece and place it to one side.

Step 3.

Next, cut the card from the sheet by carefully following the solid, black lines around the edges. Fold the card in half along the dotted lines to crease it, then open it again.

Don't forget to ask an adult for help when using scissors.

Step 4.

Apply glue to each heart printed on the left and right sides of the card.

Place the two smaller hearts of the pop-up piece over the glue areas on the card and carefully press down letting the glue dry.

After the glue has dried carefully close the card.

Step 5.

Your pop up card is now finished, make sure you give it to someone special!
