Wreaths are laid on Remembrance Sunday to help us remember the sacrifices made in past wars.

Follow the insrtuctions to make this simple wreath and lay it on your town's war memorial.

Print the template opposite.

You will need:
*A paper plate
*Red and green crayons or felt tips
*Glue and scissors.

Carefully cut the middle out of the paper plate so you are left with a paper hoop.

Don't forget to ask a grown up for help when using scissors.

Put the plate to one side for now.

Colour the poppy templates and carefully cut around each poppy. You may need to print several sheets to cover your wreath fully.

Your finished poppies should look like this.

Stick the poppies to the paper plate hoop until all the white has been covered.

Your finished poppy wreath should look like this.

You can write a message and pin it to the wreath if you like.

If you have any family members that have fought in any wars over the years, you could add a special message to your wreath to commemorate their lives.
